After I got a degree in sculpture at the "Beaux Arts" school of Versailles in 1999, I started painting. My first personal exhibition dates from 2004. It was inspired by my meetings and relationships throughout a year. This was my first executions of portraits of strangers and friends. Since then, I realize about one or two exhibitions per year.

My work, on a figurative basis, focuses on portraits. I'm fascinated by the uniqueness of individuals and try to keep in mind precious moments. The model is represented as faithfully as possible, showing a sort of abandonment of oneself. What I'm looking first and foremost, is simplicity, the representation of the other as it is and as it is recognized through its physical gestures and expressions. Very often, the sinary is suggested so that all attention is focused on the character itself.

The light has a great importance in my paintings. Like colour, it depicts the model, sublimes and makes it come to life. Therefore, my colors are more vivid and present as they reflect a change in my work. Formerly discreet, they mark today, a willingness to move forward. The character is no longer in doubt as it was in my first paintings. Now, he finds the answers. It tends to put into trust. It assumes himself in the universe that surrounds him with whom he no longer puts a distance with. Anything is possible.
